2003 RAM 1500 Owner's Manual

The 1500 Dodge RAM is one of the most successful pickup trucks from the American manufacturer. The 2003 model is a model upgraded from the one presented in the past.
Specifications
The base power unit for this car is a V6 engine, which comes with a volume of 3.7 liters. This motor only works on rear wheel drive. Further, in the upgraded Dodge RAM 1500, it became possible to install a more powerful V8 engine, with a volume of 4.7 liters, with its all multi-port injection systems at that time, it was able to generate 240 horsepower.
With this engine, it became possible to choose which gearbox the car will be with. In the standard version, it will be a manual, with 5 steps. Optionally, you can install an automatic, also a five-speed. The advantage of the “automatic” is the gear ratio in second gear, so that it is good to tow a trailer, as well as when climbing uphill. As for fuel consumption, it is quite large and amounts to 12.3 liters of gasoline per 100 kilometers. In the city, this figure increases to 16.8 liters/100 km.
For that time, there were quite a lot of different comfort and safety systems in the cabin. This included air conditioning, as well as windows (electric). The CD stereo player was also a nice touch. As for safety, there was an anti-lock braking system, and on all wheels. There were also airbags for the driver and front passenger. Side curtain airbags were a welcome upgrade.
