2026 RAM 1500 Owner's Manual

RAM 1500 has begun the year on the right foot, in this case with the powerful 6.2 HEMI making a big entrance, going from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in just 3.5 seconds.
Stellantis gets 2026 off to an unexpected start with a 777hp V8 pickup. Twenty years later, a legendary nameplate is back.
Stellantis confirms in all its glory the return of the 6.2 HEMI with its 777 hp in the case of the RAM 1500 SRT TRX.
The 2026 Ram 1500 models which will get this V8 engine range from the very base Tradesman model to the luxurious Limited and Longhorn and include features such as the Big Horn, Express, Warlock, Laramie, and even the Rebel which is due to arrive later. For the Limited and Longhorn trims, the HEMI engine is available as a free upgrade, further adding value to these cars in the lineup.
It’s important to remember that this pickup has an impressive towing capacity of up to 5,200kg and a payload of around 800kg, as it is still largely a work and leisure vehicle.
Another interesting detail to finish with, is the arrival of a new emblem called the “Symbol of Protest”, the RAM design team have put this on the front fender. This emblem is the head of a ram powered by the HEMI V-8 engine, which is a visual nod showing that the death of this engine for the brand was not simply the removal of a powertrain from its lineup.
Stellantis hasn’t waited a single day to continue on its path to redemption, especially in the United States. To that end, it has revealed many new products, with the most prominent being a model that until recently was believed to have been lost, but is making a triumphant return. In fact, it was initiated with a short film titled “Resurrection.”
We’re talking about RAM, who is finally bringing back to the North American market some new products, starting with the RAM 1500 SRT TRX. This is the first RAM SRT to enter the market in the last two decades (since the RAM SRT-10 in 2006) and the first product to come from the SRT Performance Division geared towards off-road capabilities. And it’s no wonder.
One look is enough to know that the TRX isn’t trying to go unnoticed. The exclusive grille with the SRT emblem, the Flame Red RAM logo and the sporty hood with LED marker lights make an intimidating image, even when standing still. The front end is done out with a steel bumper, integrated skid plate and red tow hooks, emphasising its off road prowess.
The North American brand’s TRX is 173 millimeters wider than a conventional Ram 1500, with its flared fenders and composite skid plates. At the rear the design is more functional than ornamental: steel bumpers, darkened taillights, dual five-inch exhaust outlets, and the unmistakable T-Rex emblem on the tailgate.
The 18-inch wheels with 35-inch tires are more than an aesthetic aspect. Along with a specially tuned suspension with forged aluminum control arms and Bilstein Black Hawk e2 adaptive dampers, they offer 300mm of ground clearance and suspension travel fit for a racing buggy. The electronically locking differentials and off road angles reinforce a clear message – this truck is built for speed . . . even off-road.
With the return of the HEMI V8s that they themselves retired during the Tavares era now announced loudly enough by Stellantis in the second half of 2025, the Filosa era is aiming high. So, whilst the RAM 1500 comes equipped with the 5.7-litre version, this RAM 1500 SRT TRX has the most legendary version under its hood: the 6.2-litre V8 HEMI which we’d expect to see under the bonnet of vehicles such as the Dodge Challenger or the Dodge Charger.
Stellantis has given us confirmed numbers of 777 hp and 922 Nm of torque for this RAM 1500 SRT TRX – enough torque to stick you to your seat as the power is unleashed on dirt and sand roads. Indeed, it’s considered the most powerful gasoline-powered midsize pickup (half-ton, capable of carrying half a ton of weight in the bed) ever released for the road, surpassing the 700hp Ford F-150 Raptor R.
