The new Ram 1500 REV was sold out a year in advance
Demand for the new Ram 1500 REV has exceeded all expectations. Literally within a week, the electric pickup truck was sold out for a year ahead. The information was confirmed by representatives of the press service of the Stellantis concern on the CarBuzz website.
Pre-orders for the electric car Ram 1500 REV began to be accepted immediately after its official presentation on February 12. The down payment was only $100. However, the acceptance of orders was stopped already within a week, because the plant turned out to be loaded for a year. However, production volumes are still kept secret.
The characteristics of the Ram 1500 REV are also unknown. It is only known that the STLA platform is the basis of the pickup, and it will be equipped with an 800-volt power plant, which allows fast charging. The power reserve in the top version can reach 800 km.
Nevertheless, this did not stop buyers – they placed orders without knowing all the details of the model. In addition, they will have to wait for the delivery of the car for more than a year, because the electric car will go into production only in 2024.
Such a situation is not uncommon in the segment of electric pickups. Earlier, Tesla Cybertruck, GMC Hummer EV and Ford F-150 Lightning collected a huge number of orders.
